Considering that Baby Boomers make up 32 percent of the US adult population, control up to 70 percent of the spending power in our economy, and already make up over 60 percent of both the House and the Senate, it is so important to reach out to women of the baby boomer generation to run for office. Research shows that only 49 percent of women over the age of 60 have considered running for office, compared to 60 percent of men over the age of 60.  Women of the Baby Boomer generation have raised families, led successful careers, volunteered and organized in their communities—their life experiences make them uniquely positioned to understand the needs of American families, broker deals, command respect, and make hard choices.
